Associate Trainer

Qualifications:
BA English Language & Literature 2:1, Cornell University Certificate Diversity & Inclusion, Transformation Academy Certified Coach (CPD Accredited)

Experience:
Emily comes from decades of experience working in the media and advertising business: a fast-paced, high-pressure professional service industry that allowed her to live, work and travel all around the world. She worked with some of the world’s biggest and most successful companies. She has won several awards such as Top 25 Young People To Look out for (Philippine National Enquirer 2005), Campaign Asia’s Woman to Watch (2018), and Winner of Respect Individuality (groupM 2019) among various media awards.

Her knowledge and experience in understanding how to work in global environments with multi-layered cultural challenges have been critical to delivering great business results. Her interest, passion and commitment to diversity and inclusion and dedication to active allyship across the diversity spectrum, stems from her multi-ethnic family and my background as a ‘third culture kid’ growing up in Asia and Europe as well as her unique business experiences.

As a bi-racial, cis-gendered, heterosexual woman fluent in Tagalog, whose outward appearance does not reflect her ethnicity, she has a keen sense of intersectionality and her privilege and uses her awareness to help others gain a better understanding and create change.

This has included developing and driving diversity and inclusion strategies across multiple markets, driving company policy change for the LGBTQ+ community at her former company, managing and growing employee resource networks as well as developing culture change programmes and leadership training.
