Understanding Toxic Masculinity & How It Can Affect Men in the Workplace – 28th October 2026: 12:30pm

The term “toxic masculinity” is often misunderstood. It does not suggest that men are inherently toxic. Instead, it refers to harmful expectations and stereotypes about what it means to “be a man” and how these can negatively affect individuals, workplaces and society.

Many men grow up believing they should always be strong, avoid showing emotion, never ask for help or carry the responsibility of being the sole provider. Whilst these expectations may seem familiar, they can contribute to poor mental health, unhealthy coping mechanisms and barriers to seeking support.

Join Diversiti UK for this practical and thought-provoking webinar as we explore how harmful expectations around masculinity can influence workplace behaviour, communication, leadership and psychological safety, and what organisations can do to create healthier, more supportive workplace cultures.

The session will also explore the growing influence of online “manosphere” content, how harmful gender stereotypes can affect workplace relationships, and practical ways to support men’s mental health whilst fostering inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.

Whether you work in HR, leadership, management, wellbeing, learning and development or simply want to better understand the experiences of colleagues, this session will provide practical insights and actions that you can begin applying immediately.
